Amber and Arthur

AMBER and ARFIE are the two “fluffs”. They  are cats who both have enormous tails which collect debris from their surroundings. Despite this, staying neat and beautiful is something which Amber works very hard at accomplishing.  She likes to hide in the shade of a tree and is an avid birdwatcher.

ARTHUR or ARFIE is renowned for collecting debris but also slugs on his belly – not that he is low to the ground you understand, it’s those annoying levitating Cornish slugs…He also has a penchant for other cats tails which he likes to grab between his two front paws. Sadly this is not universally loved by his siblings!

We think that Amber and Arthur are Norwegian Forest cats although they have not grown very big yet. To be fair, Arthur does not show much ability with trees either. Several of his siblings can climb the old oak tree at the edge of the garden. Poor Arthur can only get a little way up the trunk, where he hangs on for a while before an ignominious drop to the ground.

Unlike Amber, Arthur is not too good at looking after himself. If you ever get to stroke him you will often feel little knots of fur in his armpits. We are training him to love his Furminator to avoid these getting overly large.
